For over 20 years, I have been working in the property assessment and taxation field. During that time I have been responsible for preparing, reviewing and appealing a diverse range of property types.

My career began with the Ministry of Finance, and later with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation ("MPAC"), working as an assessor on a wide array of property types.  For much of my time as an assessor I was responsible for the assessments on many of the largest and most complex industrial properties in Ontario.

In 2010 I left the public sector for consulting.  In my time as a property tax consultant I have reviewed and successfully appealed properties of nearly all types and sizes, including factories large and small, warehouses, apartment buildings, retirement homes, retail properties and aircraft hangers. I have worked with a wide range of clients; from small business owners to multi-national corporations and municipalities.

In time I realized that the corporate consulting model was not for me.  I prefer to provide services directly, not through staff of varying experience levels.  If I am going to be accountable to my clients, I want them to really be MY clients! Every client of Hintikka Consulting is my personal client, and will be treated as such.
